Up for bid is an extremely rare LP, "Blues Roots / Mississippi" Compiled and Annotated by Samuel Charters. This is part of a very nice collection that we recently acquired. The original owner placed each of his LPs in a protective plastic inner sleeve and was very meticulous about the care of his collection. This set features music from Robert Johnson, Sonny boy Williamson, Tommy Johnson, Bo Carter, and others. This was released by RBF Records (a subsidiary of Folkways Records) (RBF 14) in 1966. LP is VG++ (nearly NM), with a couple of tiny faint scuffs and no spindle wear. LP is extremely clean and retains a nice gloss. The jacket is VG+, with no seam splits. There is a small crease in the front top right and front bottom right corners. There is light corner wear on all four corners. The artwork on the front needs to be re-glued at the bottom (the artwork is not torn way form the cover, the glue has just become weak from age). Includes original interior booklet, with no tears or creases. Don't miss your chance to pick up this scarce Blues gem, in beautiful condition!
