Description

Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted. 

Grading is based on visual inspection.

I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.

New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I call a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played.  I use the grading category to describe the cover condition.

  • This Mint Condition Promotional Copy has never been played.
  • This compilation is a 1984 reissue of the original 1967 release.
  • This was a Mono recording. However, it says 'Stereo' on the front cover. But it doesn't indicate that anywhere else. So, I think 'Stereo' could be mislabeled because none of the other 1984 Chess reissues were rechanneled. Therefore, this is very likely Mono.
  • The diagonal corner cut lower right indicates this was an in-house Promo.
  • The Seller got this new from the MCA (Chess' distributor) library in 1984. It has been in storage for 35 years.
