This is the 1966 Double LP 1st U.S. Columbia CL2 41 "2-Eye" Label of
Bob Dylan's Masterpiece "Blonde on Blonde"
This rare & definitive Mono version w/ Claudia Cardinale and Unknown Whisperer inside cover
Sellers of this unique original issue call the girl on the inside cover either girl, female, etc. it is in fact the famous Italian beauty and filmstar Claudia Cardinale here is what happened:
The original inside gatefold featured a photograph of the Italian Tunisian-born actress Claudia Cardinale that was used without her permission. Some critics at the time questioned if the photo was of Dylan himself in drag. From 1968 onward, Cardinale's photo was removed from all American pressings of the album, making copies of the record sleeve featuring the actress a collector's item.
The Unknown Female Whisperer
This picture also was removed in 1968, and we still don't know for certain the identity of the woman whispering in Bob's ear. Rod MacBeath says in his article that she could be Edie Sedgwick, but apparently Edie was "rail-thin and a platinum blonde" so this would appear not to be her. One suggestion is Carole Adler (daughter of harmonica player Larry), who hung around with Bob at this time. Tim White thinks the picture was taken at a night club called Ondine Jerry Schatzberg confirms this, but doesn't know the whisperer.
The mono LPs of Blonde On Blonde have significantly different mixes and the length of the tracks frequently differ, by up to 50 seconds in some cases (information from Les Kokay and Roger Ford).
The Gatefold Cover is VG+, Some Ringwear and expected shelfwear for a title this old. I have included new premium inner sleeves, also comes with inner sleeves called "the inner sleeve" with newspaper like articles on both sides, these may or may not be the originals.
The Vinyl has many light surface scratches and paper scuffs that minimally in some areas will cause background surface noise in quieter passages and light clicks in some areas.

To my fellow audiophiles and past, current, and prospective customers: I am liquidating as many are today, my near entire CD collection, partly due to economy and partly due to final conversion to vinyl only. My CDs were mostly purchased new and have sat on shelves in my office for many years. I do not play CDs like many do, I'm a vinyl guy.
If an offering of a disc is NM, it may have some small light marks but it is like a mirror and sonically new. If otherwise, it will be noted. Should you be teetering on buying from me because I may be a few dollars more than another offering please know:

I try to offer fair prices based on many factors including: supply & demand, rarity, condition of Disc, Booklet, Jewel Case etc., past selling prices weighed against current price offerings – not to include sealed gold product for $500+(if someone can get that, God Bless them, this still is America)
