Heavy Vinyl Edition MFSL2-501 -
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! -
Highly Praised in the Pages of TAS
What can one say, but that, in my experience, this is one of the most successful Mobile Fidelity sets of them all.
That it re-mastered glorious EMI recordings to begin with, helps, of course, but also stretching out the two original sides into four is a Godsend of no small audio import.
Fact is, if you have a wider or deeper stage recorded anywhere in your vinyl library, I'd like to hear it. Because this one is simply awesome, breathtaking in its presence, and quite literally "alive" in the sounding. Very, very natural, which means, oh yes, you can crank it. And I mean symphony hall loud. It'll hang in there. (Trust me.)
Note, too, though I was not the one to discover this, if you can, reverse the phase in your system and give a listen. It really frees this record set; immensely, in fact.
Cover of this copy is very crisp indeed, with 2LPs inside that should play near mint, if not better. Pristine vinyl. That's a fact.
If you love classical music, and possess the ears of an audiophile, do not miss this album set. Simply stunning. In the top twenty of all albums I have ever heard.
For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.
Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $14 via airmail for the first LP, $4 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
