Break-in record "Dooley Swings Parts 1 & 2" / Today & Tomorrow VG+
This is a break-in from Apr. 1959. The styrene is VERY good looking for it's age. It's been played, but very well cared for. How shall I put this: there ARE scratches, but they are ALL VERY, VERY superficial. You'll have a VERY hard time hearing any of them. It doesn't look it's age at all, really. If it was from the early `80's, I'd say it probably looks it's age. The labels are clean except for a tiny bit of ring wear. The scanner makes them look worse than they are. It even looks a bit better than my copy!! Let's put it this way, I was nearly tempted to call this NM-. I'm STILL not sure I shouldn't. This is a break-in based around the legend of Tom Dooley. The timings on the labels read 2:40 & 2:20, but they're really 2:56 and 2:10, respectively. I have my own copy, so, I've never played this one and it looks at LEAST VG+. This is only the third copy of this I've ever seen and I've been collecting break-ins since the early `70's. Anything else you need to know about the item, don’t be afraid to ask.
I bought a huge stack of break-ins for a friend of mine about 2 years ago and he has yet to send me the money for them, so, I need the cash, but not the records (I've already got my own copies). In as such, I'm only selling them for whatever I paid for them. I'm not greedy, but I also don't want to lose money in the deal, so, the starting bid prices will be what I paid for them 2 years ago. In a scant few cases, that's gonna be kinda high, but, again, that's what I paid for them.
I will combine shipping, so, if you want to wait a bit before you pay for all of the ones you might win, that's cool & groovy. After this huge collection (about 60 break-ins in all), there probably won't be any more. I'll probably also be tossing in a good bit of late `80's/early `90's pop, rock & metal, too.
