Great double LP. Original owner, bought new when it came out, if not the day of release then certainly that week, most likely picked it up at Newbury Comics in Boston. Played only a handful of times, and I’m sure a side or two has been played only once. There are a few minor flaws to note, however, as this pressing and packaging wasn’t perfect to begin with, I was disappointed way back then to find, and I added a hairline scratch via a cueing error with the AR XA I had then. Given what these go for I may as well give you some thorough notes. Bid accordingly and confidently.
-- Small scuff spot on run-in/outside edge of side 2. This was there when I opened the package and seemed to be some kind of packaging or handling problem, perhaps because the picture sleeves don’t fully cover the vinyl on one side. To protect against this happening to you, and to prevent seam splits in the picture sleeves, I will ship the records in new plain inner sleeves.
-- Squiggly pressing error bridging tracks 3 & 4 on side 2. Looks like a scratch, shows up during play as a tick. Seems like a piece of sweater fuzz or something got into the press? Odd.
-- 1 cm hairline scratch bridging tracks 2 & 3 on side 4. This is my “cueing error” and the only true sign of use. Shows up during play as a tick between tracks and during quiet beginning of “Paradise” but not apparent during loud end of “The Rising.” Very shallow straight surface scratch, but certainly worth mentioning.
Sides 1 & 3 are NM.
I see absolutely no flaws at all on the outer sleeve or inner sleeves, no bumps or creases or anything. If you have any questions or need any more photos, just let me know.
Record will be shipped in a mailer with an extra square of cardboard to prevent shifting; record and inner sleeve and any insert will be taken out of the cover to prevent split seams in transit, and all materials will be inside a plastic sleeve.

VINYL GRADING CHART This is a stock chart that I use. As the seller I prefer to be conservative in my gradings.
Mint (M) - A record in mint condition is in perfect, brand new condition. There is no evidence of wear and tear, and the vinyl shows no signs of having been played.
Near Mint (NM) - As the name implies, a near mint record is almost perfect. The vinyl shows no more than the most minor of defects and the sleeve should be practically flawless. Typically, a record in Near Mint condition may have a minor surface abrasion on the vinyl or a tiny crease on the sleeve.
Excellent (EX) - A record in Excellent condition will show signs of use in that there will be some light scratches or surface abrasions on the vinyl, but this will not affect the sound quality in any way. The sleeve will have some tiny amounts of scuffing or have some small creasing in the corner tips.
Very Good (VG) - A record in Very Good condition will have numerous light scratches or scuffs on the vinyl, but it still plays without noticeable deterioration of the sound quality. The sleeve may have a small split, or have noticeable scuffing and creasing along the edges. The label may be slightly discolored and some ring wear may be visible.
Good (G) - A record in Good condition can be played without hopping or skipping, but there may be some hissing or extra surface noise. The sleeve will have some seem splits, scuffing, creasing, and may also be discolored. Ring wear may well be visible and inner sleeves may show signs of wear and tear.
Fair (F) - A record in Fair condition can still probably be played, but the sound quality will not be good, possessing surface noise and bad scratches. The outer and inner sleeve will be badly worn, creased or torn.
Poor (P) - A record in poor condition may be unplayable in that the vinyl may be cracked, warped, or have several deep scratches. The sleeve may be torn, split, badly creased or have been defaced or written on. The inner sleeves may be unoriginal or missing. ?
