Description
The Buddy Holly Story is the first posthumously released album by Buddy Holly and the Crickets. The album was released on Febuary 28, 1959, less than one month after Holly’s untimely death in a plane crash. The album contains hits by the group on both the Brunswick and Coral labels. The album became a top twenty hit in the US, Canada and England. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA in 1969. Extra crispy second press (1965) on Coral in shrink. Nearly flawless cover and clean disc includes original Coral company inner sleeve. Excellent retrospective of a remarkable talent tragically gone far too soon.
