UK MCA (MCF 2665) SECOND PRESSING (mid/late 70s) OF CAMEL'S EPONYMOUS DEBUT LP - IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION - ONCE PLAYED AND DELIVERING RICH, DEEP AND WARM AUDIO THROUGHOUT WITH NOTHING TO FAULT - GREAT COPY
PRESSED BY UK EMI WITH THE SECOND ISSUE MCA RAINBOW LABELS
MATRIX: MCF 2665 A-1 / MCF 2665 B-1 (the first EMI pressing - in 1974 MCA severed links with UK Decca and switched its licensing deal to EMI)

THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN A SINGLE MATT SLEEVE PRINTED BY GARROD & LOFTHOUSE
AND COMES COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL PLAIN WHITE INNER SLEEVE (no text)
Camel were still finding their feet and signature sound on their eponymous debut LP
Peter Bardens and his grand, sweeping organ dominate the proceedings with arty improvisations, jazz-inflected rhythms and more straight-forward rock numbers and there are strong hints of promise scattered throughout
This is a very fine piece of work, but it is Camel as yet unformed
SIDE 1: SLOW YOURSELF DOWN / MYSTIC QUEEN / SIX ATE / SEPARATION
SIDE 2: NEVER LET GO / CURIOSITY / ARUBALUBA
LABELS: The labels are clean, bright and fresh with just one light spindle trace - MINT-
VINYL Visual: The vinyl surfaces still retain their original deep, like new glossy sheen and are practically unmarked - NEAR MINT
VINYL Audio: Outstanding audio delivery in every respect with a crystal clear, deep, rich and warm sound - absolutely gorgeous. And on playback at a loud volume there are no audio issues of note - no scratches, clicks or pops and beautifully clean with no surface noise - MINT-
SLEEVE: The matt G&L cover is in beautiful condition - clean, sharp and fresh with no wear to speak of. All edges are sharp and unworn and all text on the spine is clear and bold (this text is also reproduced on the top edge of the sleeve). There are some light spine creases (but nothing major), this is a very, very fine example of this delicate easily worn sleeve which has none of the common ring wear - NEAR MINT
