Description
This is the 1964 stereo pressing of Cannonball Adderley’s famed Somethin’ Else LP on Blue Note BST-1595. Features Miles Davis, as well as Hank Jones and Art Blakey. 63rd St. address on the cover, and on the side two label, but the later New York label on side one. They must have had some of the older side two labels lying around… Rudy Van Gelder’s stamps on both sides, and the “ear” mark. The disc has a lot of marks and scuffs and plays with a little noise much of the time. But also not bad much of the time, and still quite enjoyable. No groove wear that distorts the music. Still quite clear through, and in places it plays with barely any noise to be noticed at all. Really not too terrible a player at all. The cover is quite beautiful, with no seam splits and barely any real wear. Just a tiny, tiny bit of wear on a couple of corners and a very very slight ring appearing. Really a nice shiny copy. The original Blue Note inner sleeve is even included. Really a much better playing copy than it looks.
