CARAVAN (UK Verve Forecast SVLP 6011, stereo)
- Condition : Cover is VG+ to VG++, front has just some minor creasing and dullness to lamination, back has a few small scrapes / tears and timing for each side is written in pen directly above each side's tracklisting. Vinyl is visually VG+ to VG++, however there are some problems caused, I suppose, by playback on some cheap record player back in the 1960s. Much of the LP plays VG++ or better, but there are a few fuzzy-sounding passages, and three or four forward SKIPS that I noticed. The beginning of "Policeman" is most noticeably affected but there are a few other problem spots. Side two is almost entirely unaffected (couple pops in the silent space after "Grandma's Lawn"). This is a real drag, to be sure. I've tried playing the LP with several different cartridges, the problems are minimized (but not eliminated entirely) with a cartridge using a micro-line stylus (Audio-Technica AT-OC9 MLII). Using a mid-line Ortofon MM cart with elliptical stylus (OM-30 Super) the problems were worse. My point is, bid with the thought in mind that you are going to hear some noise and or skips in a few places.
- Description : Very rare 1969 UK original in laminated flipback sleeve. I recently upgraded to a better copy, so here's my old copy, with the aforementioned problems. I bought this one from a UK dealer well over a decade ago and never found a better example until very recently. Low starting bid, no reserve, but NO RETURNS due to the flaws mentioned above. Oh yeah, truly wonderful Canterbury UK scene psych-into-prog music, but you probably knew that already...

- NO RETURNS on this item due to flaws stated in the above description. Grading is strict and visual. All used LP's are cleaned on a Loricraft machine before grading.
- Records are shipped in a cardboard record mailer with sufficient padding, and the disc is removed from the jacket to prevent seamsplits.

- Please do not ask me to email you with a list of every song on an LP. If you are looking for a specific song, inquire with the name of the song, I'll check ASAP to see if it's on the LP and reply promptly, but I don't have time to type out the names of every track, sorry to say.
