Every Tuesday night (European time) I will offer old punky records. My name is ‘punky_music’
Fantastic Canadian punk from 1977. Only 500 records of the only 7“ release by CARDBOARD BRAINS from Toronto were pressed. ‘I Want To Be A Yank’ is perfect '77 punk and includes all elements of a classic punk song. Also ‘Living Inside My Head’ and ‘Can Stress Kill’ are superb stompers. Their wonderful cover version of ’Stepping Stone’ appears on the KILLED BY DEATH #26 sampler. Original first pressing, released on private mini label ‘Brainco Worldwide’ (catalogue number CB 7779). Complete with original fold-out lyrics sheet. Their debut 7“; KBD punk with great tough machine gun guitar sound, especially on the first track which is the fastest & best, the others are a bit slower but also OK. The singer tries his best to sound like Johnny Rotten, oh well. Stepping Stone is a cover version, of course. [7]

Erste 7“ der Kanadier, beginnt mit einer harten, großartigen MG-Gitarrensalve. Der erste und der letzte Song sind lupenreiner KBD-Punk, die anderen beiden fallen etwas ab (Stepping Stone ist natürlich eine Coverversion). Der Sänger bemüht sich ein bisschen zu sehr, nach Johnny Rotten zu klingen, naja. Ordentliche Platte.

Versand / Mailing: alle Platten werden in einer neutralen weißen 7“ Hülle außerhalb des Plattencovers verschickt, um Beschädigungen am Originalcover zu vermeiden (all records will be sent in plain white 7“ sleeves outside of the picture sleeves to avoid any seam splits). Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt (all records will be shipped in special record mailers, two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending).
Bezahlung / Payment: Deutsche per Banküberweisung. Non-Germans via PayPal.
