Hi, my name is Brian and I have been collecting vinyl for many years. My main interest has been PROGRESSIVE especially the VERTIGO SWIRL/SPIRAL LABEL, reputed to be the most collectable label in the world?

I have finally finished my SWIRL collection of over 160 albums of which most are UK pressings, and now I am going to SELL them ( I must be mad ). I have been quite fussy about the QUALITY, CONDITION and they must be the VERY FIRST PRESSINGS. The latter has been the hardest to decipher and has had me buying and selling many copies of the same album to achieve this,and I almost have with these collectable gems.

I am not and have never been a 'dealer' by profession, but I have always given honest descriptions and lots of clear photo's of any items I have sold. I do know how disappointing it is when you open that package and the item has been over sold with expressions such as "AWESOME" etc when the item is only in EX- condition or worse. If you are in anyway disappointed with an item from me you are most welcome to return it with a FULL REFUND, providing it is an honest and just mistake by myself as I believe in my descriptions.

For sale here is --CATAPILLA--CHANGES-- UK ORIGINAL VERY FIRST PRESSING WITH VERY FIRST PRESSING SLEEVE,1971, stereo 6360 074 The 71st of 87 UK pressings on this label. THE REST WILL FOLLOW!

SLEEVE.....GATEFOLD, GIMIXED and UN-LAMINATED. Not only one of the rarest uk albums on the VERTIGO label but one of the most delicate sleeves and extremly prone to wear and damage. Unfortunately this sleeve has had it's fair ammount of wear and tear over the years and has some scars to prove it.....When I bought this album the head had been torn off the catapiller and was missing, so I borrowed a friends copy and after a number of trials and errors with a top quality proffessional photocopier and some spray mount I fashioned a new head. I think it looks realy good and you need to look very close to see the repair(see pictures) This repair was done with spray mount glue which means it can be removed without leaving any trace of the repair (if you wish). It has also been very lightly touched in here and there but NOT with felt tip pens. There is light general wear and the spine corners are worn. There is no unwanted writing or stains or stickers or glue residue. The spine is fully ledgible. By no meanes mint but it realy looks the part.

LABELS......This is a genuine first pressing. Both labels are in wonderful condition, beautifully white with only light spindle marks.EX++

VINYL....Both sides of this fantastic album still have their JUST PRESSED deep black shine. When you hold this album in the very brightest of lights you can see very light surface hair lines which are very light and mostly cased removal and replacement in and out of the inner sleeve, there are no nasty marks or scratches. In normal daylight this album is PRISTINE. Both sides play WITHOUT SCRATCHES, CLICKS OR JUMPS. I have played this album on my very sensitive and revealing LINN SONDEK and the sound is UN-WORN, it is full and crisp there is NO loss of sound quality at all, wonderful sound stage and stereo seperation. There are a very small amount of dust crackles that can be heard only in the very quiet parts of the music or inbetween tracks, but a professional clean should sort out most of that.This is a superb album in the most wonderful of conditions. These HEAVY VINYL origional pressings are second to none. This really is a top copy that any collector would be delighted to add to their collection, a real KEEPER .  EX++/EX++ very nice!!

THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST ALBUMSON THIS LABEL AND IS GETTING VERY HARD TO FIND IN ANY CONDITION.          IT IS RARE WITH THIS 'SUPERB' CONDITION VINYL
