Description
Released by CBS in 1967, cat # 2942; this is “Make Me Yours” / “I Will Not Cry” by Bettye Swann.
This is a demo copy with the release date of the 25 August 1967 stamped in purple ink on the label. The labels are clean with some spindle marks on the B-side, but as you can see the spindle hole has maintained its shape. The playing surfaces have some light marks and look in very good condition.
Playing-wise; there is a bit of crackle at the very start but this soon clears. The record is sonically in at least very good condition.
As for the promotional-only picture sleeve – well – if you look at it as a bonus then you won’t be disappointed. It is taped on all three seams and has some damage to the opening edge. A grading of fair is about it.
All of these singles come from the same special source – an original 60’s Top Rank DJ who started in the ballrooms and progressed to radio and record production in the 1970’s.
