CCM/I REFUSE IT? ‘Permanent Scar’ 12" (Children Of The Revolution 1985)

“CCM (Cheetah Chrome Motherfuckers) were the band that defined the style later labelled ‘Granducato Hardcore’, aka HC coming from the Italian region of Tuscana with Firenze/Florence as the capital. Along with Raw Power, Negazione and Indigesti, they were one of the most popular Italian bands on a worldwide scale. They were also one of the most feared and aggressive acts in the scene because of their ultra-nihilist frontman Syd and their explosive live sets that were incredibly negative and original. Both ‘Furious party’ and their songs on the split LP with I Refuse It were highly original HC that I would roughly label as the Italian HC predecessors to Rorschach and Born Against, with some of the most extreme cut-throat vocals around in those years.”
