16 INCH, BLACK LACQUER ACETATE 33 1/3 RPM DISC. THIS DISC WAS RECORDED BY CBS COLUMBIA REFERENCE RECORDING FOR REFERENCE PURPOSES ONLY AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. VERY RARE!
Side One: Charlie Barnet & His Orchestra V-Disc Tests "Blue Skies", "Until My Baby Comes Back" female vocal, incomplete, "Until My Baby Comes Back" breakdown, "Until My Baby Comes Back" breakdown, "Redskin Rhumba"? (complete but short). This side is approximately 10 1/2 minutes
Side Two: Features part one of the rehearsal for The Mildred Bailey Show of June 21, 1944. Music is by Paul Barron & His Orchestra featuring Teddy Wilson, Roy Eldridge, Specs Powell, Red Norvo. Guest is guitarist Remo Palmieri (later changed his name to Palmier) who is introduced by Mildred Bailey as "A Young Fellow" and "A Boy Who's Really Going Places". Benny Goodman is also announced as a guest but I do not believe he appears on this half of the show. Songs by Paul Barron & His Orchestra include "Honeysuckle Rose" vocal Mildred Bailey, "I Surrender Dear" featuring Remo Palmieri on guitar. "Long Ago And Far Away" vocal Mildred Bailey, "Begin The Beguine", "Nobody Knows The Trouble I've Seen" vocal Mildred Bailey - this last song is incomplete and runs to the edge of the disc. This is the first 15 minutes of a 30 minute rehearsal program
Disc is in Excellent Condition with Excellent sound, Beautiful Disc!
