Description
Offered for sale is a lot of sixteen 7” Christmas records. They are as follows:
Bing Crosby – White Christmas / God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. Both the record and company sleeve are in nice condition, especially given the age.
Brenda Lee – Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree / Papa Noel. The record is in good condition for its age, the company sleeve is a bit torn at the rear (see pictures), but is in ok condition overall.
John & Yoko – Happy Xmas (War Is Over) / Listen, the snow is falling. The record is in good condition. It is in a plain sleeve which is also fine.
Wizzard – I wish it could be Christmas everyday / Rob Roy’s Nightmare. The record is fine, the gatefold sleeve is in good condition but has its previous owner’s name written on the front (see pictures).
Slade – Merry Xmas Everybody / Don’t Blame Me. Both the record and the company sleeve are in really nice condition.
The Beach Boys – Little Saint Nick / Little Saint Nick (instrumental) & Santa Claus is comin’ to town – The record has some light surface scratches but plays fine. Housed in a Motown sleeve.
Mud – Lonely this Christmas / I Can’t Stand It. The record has surface scratches but plays well. The original picture sleeve is worn along the top edge and has been written on (see pictures), but is overall in a fair condition for its age.
Bruce Springsteen – Santa Claus is comin’ to town / My Hometown. Housed in a plain sleeve. The labels are a bit tatty but the record plays well.
Mike Oldfield – In Dulci Jubilo / On Horseback. The plain sleeve is a bit tatty but the record is in good condition overall.
Johnny Mathis – When A Child Is Born / Every time you touch me. The company sleeve is a bit creased but the record is in nice condition.
Boney M – Mary’s Boy Child – Oh My Lord / Dancing in the Streets. The record is nice and plays well. Housed in a plain white sleeve.
Paul McCartney – Wonderful Christmastime / Rudolph the red-nosed reggae. Both the record and the picture sleeve are in really nice condition, especially given their age.
Jona Lewie – Stop the Cavalry / Laughing Tonight. The record is generally good, though there are some initials on the label. The picture sleeve is quite tatty with splits to all sides.
The Waitresses – Christmas Wrapping / Hangover 1/1/83. This is a promo DJ copy on white vinyl. It has a promo sticker on the A side label but is otherwise immaculate.
Band Aid – Do they know it’s Christmas? / Feed the World. The sleeve is a bit worn and showing signs of ringwear but is ok overall. The record plays fine, but there is a white mark on side B (see pictures).
Wham! – Last Christmas / Everything She Wants. The record is in good condition, the gatefold sleeve has 18 (or 81) written in biro in the very top corner, though this is barely noticeable.
The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl – Fairytale of New York / The Battle March Medley. There are a few scuffs to the B side but the A side is visually better, and both sides play fine. The picture sleeve is showing signs of wear and is a bit grubby on the back but is not split anywhere.
All in all, this is a nice set of used but classic Christmas records that still have plenty of life left in them. Given the rarity of some of these records, they are very collectable. So grab yourself a bargain!
