     George Formby Sr. (1875-1921) ,

Formby was a very famous Music Hall performer of his day. Though is son, the equally famous Geotge Formby (1904-1961), made records when he was 10, this is clearly an older man. Both Formbys are omitted from Rust and Debus' "Complete Entertainment Discography."

    Plays best with a wide sappire stylus.

        Formby first recorded in 1906. So 1906-1921 is the best I can date it.

    Record. E+/M-. Clean, unscraatched copy Sleeve. Original buff sleeve in English. Authentic sewn left and right edges.

All Pathes of this period were made on a master cyliner and copied to cylinders and records of various sizes. The identical performance may appear on records of different diameters.
