Description
UP NEXT - SOME HIGHER END COLLECTABLE 1950s ROCK-N-ROLL AND ROCKABILLY LPS! This is a reasonably priced original 1959 U.S. FIRST PRESS CHESS RECORDS DEEP GROOVE RIGID VINYL 12-TRACK LP titled 'Chuck Berry Is On Top', the third LP from guitar rock-n-roll pioneer Chuck Berry. It is Chess Records catalog number LP-1435, black labels with silver print. This album contains quite a few of Chuck's all-time rock-n-roll classics - Tracks: Almost Grown, Carol, Maybellene, Sweet Little Rock & Roller, Anthony Boy, Johnny B. Goode, Little Queenie, Jo Jo Gunne, Roll Over Beethoven, Around And Around, Hey Pedro, Blues For Hawaiians. This LP occupied an honored place in my personal collection for quite awhile until I recently obtained a slightly better condition copy - Condition of record is much better than is usually seen with vintage Chuck Berry records - Condition of record is a real high nice VG++ with all original gloss and just a very few very light and small visible surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Records has a few extremely tiny very minor bumps in the play surface which also have no effect on play - This deep groove heavy rigid vinyl pressing plays through very nicely with just some very light scattered surface noise. Labels have a few light spindle marks, no other flaws. Condition of cover is a low VG+ with the only real flaws being a 6" split in the bottom edge (I have carefully and neatly repaired this split by taping from the inside), a small black rubber stamp on the upper right area of the back cover with the name and address of a previous owner, a very small '25' almost invisibly etched into the front cover slick at the top right corner, some contact and ring wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners, there is no writing, tears, or stickers. This LP would be an essential component of any 1950s roots rock-n-roll record collection! Winning bidder pays $3.00 media mail postage or actual priority mail postage within the U.S. I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE - Uninsured first class international airmail postage to the UK or anyplace in Europe is $13.50 - Please e-mail me for postage rates to other areas outside the U.S. WINNING BIDDER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE! I will give an immediate refund (less shipping) upon return of the EP if winning bidder is dissatisfied for any reason. Good luck!
