Description
Very rare UK private pressing from sometime in the 1970s (no date is stated anywhere), lovely crystalline English female folk LP with guitar/piano backing over complex vocal arrangements with beautiful interwoven lead and harmony vocals. Really basic packaging: back cover is completely blank, no label name stated anywhere, but the printed run-off groove shows the catalogue number as GRL 1, so presumably this was a one-off vanity pressing organised by the group. Beautiful mintish copy of an album that's as mysterious as any of the big UK private label LPs!

Outstanding all-female quintet from UK (all aged about eighteen?) that manages to outclass most other albums in the genre. It is fairly notable for its highly complex harmonies, sophisticated arrangements (with guitar or piano) and audacious tempo changes. It's not just about technique - their voices are also splendid and they perform their own material (at least I believe it to be)! The back cover is totally blank, which seem to suggest a very small press. A must have to any serious female folk aficionado. All tracks are brilliant.
