Description

The only known copy of ultra-rare 1969 UK one-sided demo album from Julie Covington/Isla Cameron-style British folk singer/actress who’d made an LP for Transatlantic in 1965 that mainly consisted of trad songs such as ‘She Moved Through The Fair’.  Four years later, though, and this demo LP saw her cutting seven original songs with the aid of a small group of folk/jazz musicians and subdued baroque arrangements from Brian Gascoigne, who was also working around the same time with Ralph McTell (he was MD on the LP Spiral Staircase), Scott Walker, Dusty Springfield etc. 


LP has a cool late 60s vibe, with the overall sound and feel extremely similar to the first (privately pressed) Julie Covington album While The Music Lasts from 1967.  None of the seven songs featured seem to have appeared elsewhere.


Album is housed in a plain white sleeve, disc has printed labels.  Vinyl has numerous surface marks and background noise, but plays without sticking, jumping or distortion.  An example of the album's overall sound and condition can be heard via the following link:
