CANNONBALL ADDERLEY Somethin' Else
New & Sealed Audiophile Vinyl Record
Record Label: Classic Records/Blue Note 1595
200 Gram QUIEX SV-P (Super Vinyl Profile)
Released by Blue Note Records in 1958, 'Somethin' Else' is notable for the presence and prominent contributions of Miles Davis in one of his few recording dates for Blue Note.
Highly collectable release from audiophile label, Classic Records. This title was mastered by Classic Records at Half Speed from the original source master tapes. An all-analog, tube amplification process was used at every step. Classic Records used a proprietary vinyl that guaranteed virtually no surface noise and sonically superior dynamics.
Classic Records pride themselves for releasing each album with the original artwork, LP labels and any other materials which were included with original pressings.
Condition: New and still sealed in it's original plastic sleeve. Perforation is completely intact. Corners are sharp and unbent. Spine, top and bottom are solid and free of chipping or splits. Mint.

Review: 'Somethin' Else' was recorded during Adderley's membership in the Miles Davis Sextet of 1958, and is one of the few post-1955 appearances of Miles Davis as a sideman. Indeed, Davis plays several of the first solos, composed the bluesy title track and, according to the liner notes, chose most of the material. "Autumn Leaves" would remain in the Davis book, and "Love for Sale" would be recorded by the Davis Sextet a little over two months later.
