Description
CLIFF RICHARD & THE DRIFTERS (SHADOWS) - "CLIFF" (Columbia 33SX 1147) 1st UK Pressing 1959 Cliff's first album. The back of the cover has been signed by Cliff, Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch, Jet Harris & Tony Meehan.
Condition: The LP is in Excellent (EX) condition. Both labels are clean and unmarked have no visual signs of spindle-wear. The cover is VG- (Very Good -). The cover artwork on the front looks very good. There is some shelf-wear and general wear along the outer edges...and 'soft' corners. The spine is very good. A small section of the laminate is beginning to peel and a section near the top is missing (hardly noticeable). The back cover is slightly age-toned and a bit 'grubby' but all the contents are fine and easily read. The five signatures are on the back. (see pics).
This is an historic and important UK release (now over 60 years old) which really marked the beginnings of Rock 'n' Roll outside the USA. It was one of, if not THE, first album releases to feature UK Rock 'n' Roll.
YOU WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A BETTER COPY OF THIS VINYL LP. ALSO THE FIVE SIGNATURES MAKE IT A NEAR UNIQUE FEATURE. GET IT WHILE YOU CAN!
