RARE LED ZEPPELIN II- 1st UK PRESS- `THANKYOU`+`LIVIN LOVIN WRECK` MISPRINTS-1969.
MATRIX NUMBERS - SIDE 1 588198 A2 SIDE 2 588198 B2.
I am selling some of my led zeppelin collection.
This is the 1st and so the best sounding UK pressing of this truly great album. Bearing in mind this is nearly 53 years old the record is in great shape and having just played it through completely it sounds fantastic which you would expect from the very first pressings. It has no skips or jumps, only light occasional cracks and pops in quieter parts which really do not spoil the listening experience.
The labels are excellent with no writing and you need a torch to see any spindle marks.
Not in original inner sleeve, I will send in an anti-static audiophile inner sleeve.
Now the only downside---- The correct first press green tinged light brown sleeve is not in very good shape at all. I have tried to highlight the issues, writing on the front cover, and the right hand part of the gatefold is torn on the inside . The spine is pretty flat and has come apart most of the way down.
The record has been wet cleaned and has a nice shine to it. under a bright light It has lots of light wispy sleeve removal hairlines which as I explained earlier do not really affect play.
The record will be safely packaged in a professional mailer and sent signed for delivery.
