COLOSSEUM Valentyne suite VERTIGO LP with Vertigo Inner VO 1!
Original UK LP released with gatefold sleeve, comes with the original VERTIGO paper/poly lined inner sleeve, released in 1969 on VERTIGO label. Catalogue number: VO 1. This UK press released on the Vertigo "large swirl" label, with the wording Vertigo below the spindle hole and "A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT” on B-side label. (Earliest sleeves had "A PHILIPS RECORDS PRODUCT" also credited inside gatefold). The tracks B1a to B1c appear on the label styled as ''Part 1'' instead of ''Theme One' 'as on sleeve.
Sleeve: EXCELLENT CONDITION
Overall a clean solid sleeve in EXCELLENT displaying some light sleeve wear: Some bottom sleeve edge wear, mainly on the left hand gatefold side of the sleeve, some light corner wear and a hint of fine edge wear on the spine's edging, spine print is unaffected. Middle sleeve is EXCELLENT in appearance but has a sleeve crease/lift near the middle spine's edge on the right hand side a result of when the record was originally housed in the sleeve. There are no rips/tears, no seem splits and no sleeve creases (apart from already mentioned). Inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition, small penned artist/title name on top left hand corner and some slight browning/soiling (aging) and light sleeve creases evident.
Record: VERY GOOD+ CONDITION
Record labels are EXCELLENT, clean with no damage some spindle hole markings on both sides indicating lightly played. Playing surfaces and matrix areas displays full original glossy sheen and appear in VERY GOOD+ condition. There are four surface scuff marks, 1 on the B-side and 3 on the A-side all these are faint in appearance, light and smooth, in addition there are some small ultra-light fine line/hairline surface scuffs which only show up/appear when angled and closely viewed under a strong bright light.
