This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

The Vinyl:

VG+. GORGEOUSLY shiny vinyl. The vinyl has a few visible marks to her, but after playing her through, I found just light background noise...Mainly evident on the run-ins, with wonderful deep & rich sound reproduction.
NO JUMPS OR STICKS
A simple joy to listen to, which would only improve with a professional clean....Really nice playback!
EACH RECORD IS AS FLAT AS THE DAY SHE WAS BORN

The labels: EX. All four of the labels are extremely bright and clean with the DARKER apple.
Only very light spindle marks to each label, but these can only be seen when angling to the light....
VERY 1st PRESSING *WITHOUT* "An EMI Recording" text to disc 1.

Barely any hole wear to each side!

"Mfd in the U.K." to each of the labels.

"An EMI Recording" printed to sides 3 & 4...BUT without the brackets!

 WITHOUT writing.

The Cover: NUMBERED: 039383 It is the first run TOP loading with a great shine to her.
Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold without tears, rips or writing!!
The spine remains strong, with a tiny bit of lifting to the laminate just on the spine of 2.5cm-THAT'S IT!

Has the printing of  Stereo to the back top right.

There aren't  ANY areas of spidering to the laminate, just some indentations.
(Please see the detailed pictures for yourself-it really is rather nice).

Very good and very strong Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold....Still opens with that lovely crackle and is lovely and clean inside.

FREE OF WRITING AND NO FEATHERING TO THE TOP OPENING EITHER!

ORIGINAL FIRST PRINTING!!!

Inners: VG-. Original BLACK inners. They are both all original with the die-cut corners and window to one side of each. The each have tears near the window-please see the images provided.

Pictures: The 4 ORIGINAL pictures are present (John, Paul, George & Ringo).
They have been kept in individual plastic bags and have remained in simply TOP condition!!
NO rips or tears
NO writing or pin holes.


Poster: VG+. It is the ORIGINAL 1st printing of this poster. Lyrics printed to the back and kiss to the front.
NO writing.
Just some small splits near the folds and light foxing in a few very small areas.
NO pin holes or writing.
Really nice.
