COMPLETE SERIES Philips minigroove Mengelberg concertgebouw orchestra
This lot contains all of 14 the Philips minigroove records from the documenta Musicae series, dedicated to Willem Mengelberg. These contain the first and original issues of a number of radio recordings from 1940. So they are not reissues from earlier 78's, but original editions from these recordings! This is the complete series (Beethoven 3rd was never recorded live and was not included in the series). This set is in very nice condition.

Most of the sleeves have the usual laminate damage. These lp's had very bad quality laminate. It is hard to find one without laminate damage. So most sleeves are between VG+ and EX. The records show only light signs of use like, most are EX+ or even NM. Most have some spindle marks. The Brahms requiem has some more signs of use, and the beethoven 9 has a non sounding hairline on side 2.
Most records have the first minigroove label. Only the first and last set of the series have a later maroon label.

I use new cardboard lp packaging boxes.
Grading:
- M: never used. I don't use this grade unless the record is sealed
- NM: No visible or audible faults
- EX: Record has clearly been used, but has no major audible faults, some non sounding marks possible, maybe some dirt or light surface noise (especially on older mono record, surface noise is quite normal).
- VG: Light audible faults, ticks or surface noise
- G: scratches, etc. I don't sell record in this condition, unless they are very special and collectible.
