Description
In the late fifties Philips issued a Mengelberg collection in beautiful gatefold sleeves with bound-in booklet. All contained legendary Mengelberg recordings from the forties.
This is the complete minigroove collection. All LP's are made in Holland and have the earliest minigroove labels. Each LP has a Philips sticker on one side of the labels which says it’s a sample copy.
See for LP ratings the individual titles and ratings. Most LP’s are in EX+ or NM condition!
Some jackets have laminate lifting on front and back or parts of laminate missing. This is often seen with this Mengelberg series.
All jackets are complete and contain the bound-in booklets.

Philips W 09905/6. Beethoven Symphonies 5 and 9. Vinyl EX-. Has some superficial scuffs and hairlines. Some dust and traces of imprints of plastic innersleeves. Needs a cleaning and will certainly beneftit from that.
Philips W 09907. Brahms Sy 1. Vinyl EX+/NM
Philips W 09908. Franck Strauss Don Juan. Vinyl probably unplayed. NM. Surface has imprints of plastic innersleeve which can be cleaned easily. Jacket has some damage on the spine.
Philips W 09909. Schubert Sy 9. Vinyl near MINT
Philips W 09910. Schubert Sy 8. Vinyl appears close to NM.
Philips W 09911. Mahler Sy 4. Vinyl near MINT except for one superficial and harmless scuff.
Except for W 09905/6, which has a few, all LP’s have no spindle marks on the labels.
