Bloody rare Costin Miereanu original pressing vinyl from the mid-70's on the legendary Cramps Nova Musicha series(where appeared also works of Demetrio Stratos, Walter Marchetti, John Cage, Juan Hidalgo, Horaccio Vaggione, Robert Ashley, Cornelius Cardew, etc.).
"Luna Cinese" is maybe the greatest record released from Cramps and surely the most atmospheric / obscure with beautiful use of the female voice together with experimental electronics. "An account of musical science fiction," as one writer called it, the two sidelong pieces anticipate the style of layered sound collage that would be so prevalent in experimental/industrial music 5-10 years later. The subtle electronics, acoustic instrumentation and voices blend effortlessly, with a gentle, flowing quality not usually found in similar works by contemporaries like Bayle or Parmegiani. Miereanu did release another 4 albums after this one, on his Polyart label in Paris plus the series of "Instrumenta" vinyls also on Polyart, but none of these can compare with "Luna Cinese". A real treasure!! A masterpiece & an instant classic!! On the Nurse with wound list of influences.
Extremely hard to find, shows up scarcely on ebay, because of the small number limited edition pressing it was pressed in back in 1975(and not re-released later on compact disc or other medium)!!
Cover lies in excellent- condition(ex library copy writing), while the vinyl lies in excellent condition, looks like new!!
