Released as a double album, "Wheels Of Fire" consists of 2 discs entitled "In The Studio" and "Live At The Fillmore", first press in MONO . The original gatefold cover is silver-foil card, with a black printed illustration. Full-color inner spread.

Only the track "Toad" was recorded at the Fillmore Auditorium (07-03-1968), the other 3 tracks recorded live at the Winterland Ballroom (10-03-1968).
