UK FIRST PRESSING DISCS IN FIRST VARIATION MATT (NOT SILVER FOIL) DOUBLE VINYL LP IN GATEFOLD SLEEVE WITH ORIGINAL POLY-LINED INNER SLEEVES.
Shortly into the first pressing run of this now classic album, the expensive foil sleeve was dropped in favour of the matt sleeve that houses this set. There was no A1 matrix on Side A, so the earliest matrix is A2. First pressings in the silver foil sleeve have slightly less stamper/mother numbers AFTER the initial ?420, but the matt housed albums were still being cut from the first laquers from the next stampers along. Judging by the numbers on this copy, this was one of the earliest sets in the matt sleeve.

SLEEVE: EXCELLENT MINUS, JUST LIGHT SHELF, CORNER, RING AND EDGE WEAR. ONE OF THE BEST EXAMPLES OF THIS SLEEVE THAT WE HAVE SEEN FOR SOME TIME WITH JUST MINOR DEFECTS. INNER SLEEVES VERY GOOD+.
DISCS: EXCELLENT. NO SCRATCHES. NO SPINDLE WEAR, THEY DO NOT LOOK PLAYED MORE THAN ONCE OR TWICE AND HAVE STUNNING AUDIO. A TRULY TOP SET OF DISCS, RARE FOR THIS ALBUM AS IT IS USUALLY PLAYED-TO-DEATH AND BADLY LOOKED AFTER. CLEAN LABELS.
