Up for auction is my copy of:
CRESSIDA UK 1970 1st Press Vertigo Swirl VO 7 (847-9040)

Matrix number A-side: 847 904 1*Y*1 420 1 1 16
Matrix number B-side 847904 2*Y*1 420 11 6
Condition:

The vinyl and labels are unmarked, near mint.

The front cover has a small sticker mark top left, slight fading and minor creases close to spine(must stress minor! just want to be accurate) .

Back cover is very good slight mark bottom left.

The spine and edges have some signs of wear.

The Gatefold inner is also very good except for tape residue to edges (could possibly clean up?)

The protective lined inner sleeve is in very good shape slight creasing to bottom left.
Overall this is a true gem for the discerning collector as you can see from the photos.

Record Collector Magazine Grading System:
MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or un-played should be Mint.
EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
Using this as a guide I would describe my copy as excellent.
