This is the original 1983(1st) pressing of Current 93's debut LP, "Lashtal". Released on the great Laylah Anti-Records,Belgium, you can see it's a first pressing, as it has the purple labels, that indicate the first pressing and also has the original insert(see Current 93 discography). Later issues had black center labels(2nd press) and different covers(3rd 1988 press). Members of CURRENT 93 on this album are John Balance, Fritz Haaman and David Tibet.

Some words about Current 93 from the internet:"Current 93 is the ongoing work of David Tibet (now known as David Michael), once a member of Psychic TV and 23 Skidoo and also the founder of Dog's Blood Order. Dog's Blood Order was David's project which preceeded Current 93. Current 93 began in 1982, releasing a ritualistic single in the next year called LAShTAL and went on to release LPs of noisy soundscapes up through 1986. At that point, they turned to a more "apocalyptic folk" sound, with acoustic guitars and atonal vocals; yet they constantly evolve a new style with each record. Though the group is really Tibet's own, a family of ever changing musicians helps out with each release. The one musician to appear on virtually all Current 93 releases is Steven Stapleton of Nurse With Wound, and David Tibet in his turn has appeared on numerous Nurse With Wound releases. Members of Current 93 have collaborated with other groups such as Coil and Death In June. In addition to this, David's record label, Durtro, has released music from Antony and the Johnsons, Shirley Collins, Nature And Organization, Tiny Tim and others."

Excellent- condition for vinyl(seems unplayed, but you can hear some crackle), while cover is vg-(waterdamaged, see photo). Might appeal to fans of Psychic TV, Zero Kama, 23 Skidoo, Nurse with wound, Nww, Vagina Dentata Organ, Hafler Trio, Zoviet France, Merzbow, Death in June, Der Blutharsch, Moon lay hidden beneath a cloud, Forseti, Dies Natalis, Wappenbund, Blood Axis, Les Joyaux de la Princesse, Ain Soph, Coil, Derniere Volonte, Novy Svet, Strength though joy, Sixth Comm, Boyd Rice, Sonne Hagal, Decadence, Kirlian Camera, Regard Extreme, Gae Bolg and the church of Fand, Leger des Heils and similar.
