Description
Absolutely gorgeous copy of the impossibly rare 1962 orange marbled vinyl pressing of Curtis Amy's Tippin' On Through LP on Pacific Jazz Stereo-62. Recorded live at Howard Rumsey's famous Lighthouse. This pressing is so rare you probably will never see another. I have seen only one other copy, which was in the collection of another great west coast jazzman, who told me they only made a few and only the musicians got them. Most copies are on black vinyl, and some are on red vinyl, but this is not the red vinyl you sometimes see; it is a yellow-orange with swirls, as you can see. And as if that weren't enough, it is also in absolutely gorgeous condition. The disc looks barely touched and plays near flawlessly and just beautifully. There are a couple of very light superficial sleeve scuffs you can see under light but they don't affect the play at all. Really a fantastic, clear and clean play. The cover is likewise almost pristine, with just the slightest signs of gentle use. Barely. This is an absolutely top, gorgeous original copy, and the rarest possible pressing.
