Description
As "The McAlpineers", the California Ramblers romp a hot arrangement of "Persian Rug" on the "R" side of Edison Diamond Disc 52239. Fred van Eps, Cliff Weston, and Reg Harrison are all present on this 29. Feb. 1928 recording date. On the "L" side, B.A. Rolfe and his Palais D'Or Orchestra whip out a snappy "My Blue Ridge Mountain Home". This was recorded on the same date. This copy is a visual E+ that plays like new on the Ramblers' side, and is the same on the Rolfe side, HOWEVER the Rolfe side has three short stressed grooves that "swish" but pass without skipping.
