MY SONG/BECAUSE HE LIVES Gary Tulak is an ordained minister, currently serving as the pastor of the United Methodist Choptank Charge near Cambridge, Mary- land. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky and will graduate in May with a Master of Divinity Degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D. C. Gary was born near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He started singing as a child in a small country church and continued as a soloist in high school, college, and seminary. To this day he has continued singing about the joy of living and spreading the "Good News". Dear Listeners, My vision of reaching the masses through music has gone a step further into reality with this album. I believe that the spreading of the “Good News” is needed in our churches and society today. Hymns, regretfully, have become only a once a week matter. They need to be taken from the church into our everyday lives. As you listen, discover first hand that it is “Because He Lives” that we can experience an overcoming life in the midst of a broken world. If we are truthful ive’ll realize that we cannot do this within ourselves and must have help from the Lord. Much thanks goes to Ken Hughes who took time out of a busy schedule to play the beautiful accompaniment you bear in this album. He lives in Cambridge with his wife and daughter. Out of his busy schedule, Ken makes time to be involved in church work. Not only is he an accomplished pianist, but be is also the organist of Christ Church in Cambridge. His wife is also a fine pianist and choir director. There’s nothing like putting your talents to work for God. I would also like to thank the churches of my charge for supporting this album with their prayers and offering. The churches have given completely of their encouragement and support and have been a continual blessing to me and my family. Without their support this album would —-not have been possible. Their task is as mine—to reach out to all and win them to Jesus Christ. 'Tthis^interest of winning others to Jesus is transferred to this album.
