This handsome 10" LP from La Voce del Padrone (QBLP 5042, Italian pressing, red/silver semi-circle label – ED1, mono) features conductor Guido Cantelli and the Philharmonia Orchestra in a magnificent account of Brahms's Symphony No. 3 in F Major Op. 90, warmly recorded in the fabled acoustics of London's Kingsway Hall on 3 August 1955.

Incidentally, the striking cover art was executed by the great Bruno Munari. The reverse side of the jacket carries insightful liner notes by M.Z., printed in Italian only.

CONDITION:

The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.

The condition of the jacket is near-MINT. There is a small crease to the lower-left corner and minuscule corner wear, but that is all. Otherwise, the album appears almost as new. There are no seamsplits, bends, owners' markings, or other defects, and the whole remains solid, bright, glossy, and highly attractive – overall, an outstanding collector's copy.

The condition of the LP itself is EXCELLENT. Although the surfaces are not perfectly silent, really this is a fine copy and playback is superb, close to NM. If you must have a flawless or NM copy, then please do not buy this LP. Overall, rates as an excellent collector's copy.
