Description

Here is one of the oddest bits of vinyl I have picked in awhile--and rare as well.  Capitol Records sent DJs sampler LPs each month in 1969 with the instructions to "Keep the cover and post it on a wall marked reserved for luscious 'Capitol Disc Jockey Albums.'  After collecting and posting a year's worth, what will emerge is magical-fantastic puzzle in one luscious piece."   I kid you not--read it on the back yourself.
Some of the Jan-November covers are individually available on eBay and qualify as luscious, but the December cover is decidedly NOT LUSCIOUS.  More like creepy, bare-chested Santa with a cigar instead of his pipe.  I have shown a reference photo of the whole collection with Creepy Santa circled.  This auction is just for the December cover, but now you know how the "magical-fantastic puzzle" looks.
I haven't bothered to spin-clean or play-grade the vinyl like I normally would since the value is in the cover.  Nobody really needs 12 Christmas cuts by random Capitol artists like Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians or Guy Lombardo---right?  Vinyl is visually VG and the cover is also VG.  No writing, stains or major scrapes, just a bottom seam split and the usual bumped corners.  If you need the center of your puzzle, here it is!
