Description
Clean and tidy 1st pressing copy of Caravan's superb 3rd album from 1971. This is very much a 'starter' copy as the record only grades as Good+/VG- at best, but it still plays very well. For some reason the labels are the wrong way round - Side 1 is actually Side 2 and vice-versa! The catalogue number is Deram SDL R1. Matrix numbers are ZAL-10424.P-1D/ZAL-10425.P-1D.
Gatefold sleeve VG Laminated. In generally good shape with moderate wear. There is a seam split at the bottom rear opening edge. The spine has a crease running lengthways but the lettering is still readable.
Labels VG+ A lot of spindlewear and some yellowing near the spindle hole. No writing or other marks.
Inner Ex Original Decca company polylined bag. The date of 5/71 (May 1971) shown on the bag is just after the original release date of 4/71 (April 1971) - a very early copy indeed!
Record Visually Good+/VG-, lots of light marks and scuffs but nothing deep or serious. Play grade is much better at a solid VG, with light crackle throughout. The audio is still powerful, clear and sharp. No jumps or sticks.
I grade all records strictly using the 'Record Collector' guide.
