Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine: 30 Something LP
This is the original first pressing on the Rough Trade label, not the reissue on Chrysalis a couple of years later when they signed a major label deal. It was purchased by me nearly 30 years ago and has been looked after as part of my personal record collection ever since purchase. It's still in nice condition for a record of it's age with no seam splits to the gatefold cover or the printed inner sleeve and still with a fully readable spine. Please take the time to scroll through all the photos to get a clear idea of the condition of the LP (there is a small mark on the front cover).The vinyl itself is in great condition with a few non feel-able marks here and there on both sides, only noticeable when scrutinised under a very bright LED light. I have just wet cleaned it in my professional record cleaning machine with the award winning L'art du Son cleaning fluid so it is now static free and in the best possible condition for the next owner to enjoy. I have also test played both sides all the way through on my Project Debut Carbon turntable fitted with an Ortefon 2M Blue stylus and it sounds fantastic - turn it up loud! The record sits perfectly flat on the deck and plays through beautifully with low overall surface noise only noticeable on the run ins between tracks and also quieter sections of a couple of the songs, but that occasional warm crackle is exactly why we love the sound of vinyl. It certainly has just brought back a load of great memories, seeing these guys live back in the day. I have all the Carter USM LPs and 12" records in great condition and I will be listing them over the next week or so, so please check out my other records or message me if you're a Carter fan and looking for any of their other stuff in great condition.
