Description
I am reluctantly selling some of my jazz LP collection that I have put together over the past 30 years. Look at my other acutions for more LPs and in the weeks to come I will be listing others.
This copy of Cecil Taylor's Tansition LP (TRLP 19), Jazz Advance is remarkable condition for a 50+ year old record. It is the finest copy of this LP that I have come upon in my many years of chasing down jazz records. This might be the rarest and most IMPORTANT jazz LP released in the short history of the Boston based Transition label. Of all the records I am selling, this is the one that was most difficult to part with.
The jacket is in solid VG++ condition--the slick is clean and shiny and just about perfect, the corners are nice--just two very minor dings, but two seams are split. As you know, the seams will split on these if you look at them! For a Transition cover, this is about as good as it gets! The original booklet is included and is in NM condition.
The disc itself is also in superb condition with only one noticeable unfeelable scuff. The labels are both intact and attached (if you know anything about Transtion LPs you know this is fairly rare!). I would grade this one as NM-, perhaps a VERY picky collecor might say VG++. Anyway--it's a BEAUTIFUL copy of a VERY VERY rare jazz LP.
