Charlie Mingus at the Bohemia w.Bert-Barrow-Waldron Debut mono red DG Charlie Mingus ' Mingus at the Bohemia ' DEBUT DEB 123 (USA) mono red label with deep groove - rec. December 1955 - issued in 1956 Charles Mingus : bass - Eddie Bert : trombone - George Barrow : tenor sax - Mal Waldron : piano - Willie Jones or Max Roach : drums Side A : Jump monk (Mingus) - Serenade in bue - Percussion discussion (Roach-Mingus) Side B : Work song (arr.Mingus) - Septemberly (arr.Mingus) - All the things you C-Sharp (arr.Mingus) Visual grading : record is Good+ to VG- still with some lustre has some light shadowing possibly left by a previous plastic inner sleeve. Also has light unfeelable surface marks and wispy lines. Clean labels with some spindle wear Playing grading : record sounds differently in the two sides. Side A is Good+ to VG- Has clear and loud sound but plays with continuous light background noise and has some light occasional ticks. Side B is Good- plays with a continuous much audible background noise possibly due to a poor quality of the vinyl, however it is still playable Cover grading : cover is VG has wear to corners, edges and a bit more evident to spine. Left corners are lightly bumped. On bottom left edge of back has a light trace left by a short tape's removal Usually I don't sell record in such a lower condition but this one is a record produced directly by Mingus for his own label with scarce finantial resources and almost all copies I had in the past had a bad sound and printing defects FOR US BUYER ATTENTION $ 4 IS NOT THE CORRECT SHIPPING COST , I WILL SEND RECORD OUT FROM ITALY.
