Baron Elmo proudly presents a beautiful first edition copy of what is, simply, one of the most crucial acoustic blues collections of all time, the best of the best material from Delta giant CHARLIE PATTON: Founder of the Delta Blues, a double LP issued in 1970 by Yazoo. Again, this is the original pressing, with red Yazoo labels and an 8-page booklet bound into the gatefold jacket. Patton is a strong contender for the most powerful blues recording artist of all time, considered by many to be the single most important figure in the history of traditional blues. Both records show the merest hint of wear (with a tiny scuff on Side 4 that does not affect play), while the cover is only marred by very slight fraying on all four corners, a small frayed spot on the lower edge, and a couple of tiny nicks on the right-hand edge. Seriously, you'd have a hell of a time finding a first-edition copy in finer shape than this.
