Chet Baker Sings Import 1985 Japan Mono Reissue Pacific Jazz w/Insert EX/VG+.
For auction is an amazing listeners copy of the classic vocal jazz album, Chet Baker Sings. It was originally released in 1954 on 10” vinyl by Pacific Jazz Records (Pacific PJLP-11) with only 8 songs. It was the trumpeter’s debut vocal album. At the end of 1956, the album was reissued by Pacific Jazz (Pacific PJ-1222) and included 6 more songs that Baker recorded in July that year. Those tracks make up the first side of the album while the original ones are side 2. The album features his signature song, “My Funny Valentine”. This copy is a 1985 Japanese mono reissue and includes all 14 tracks. There is no OBI.
Vinyl is play graded EX. There is a single visible surface mark on side 1 across track 2 that is purely superficial. Plays with the faintest of background noise, if any. No skips or jumps. Super clean and shiny! Please see pics.
Cover is in VG+ condition. Very minor shelf wear on corners. All seams are perfect. Stains on both sides down grading it from EX. Insert with info on artist in Japanese and lyrics in English in great condition. Please see pics.
