Autographed Christopher Cross & band self-titled LP by Christopher Cross, 12"

The cover has a crease on the back cover.  The front has crease from the actual record.  Otherwise, the colors have not faded do not show any stains.  The spine of the cover is in good condition.  Bottom shows some wear to sliding into crate.

Chris Cross had performed at numerous parties and was very popular with many frats.   He was booked prior to the release of the album.   This album was autographed in my presence at a fraternity party (Sigma Alpha Mu) in Austin in December of 1979.   The band, at that time was: Christopher Cross, Andy Salmon, Tommy Taylor, Rob Meurer and James Fenner.  There was another autograph on the album, which I cannot make out the name. 

Christopher's landmark debut album, winner of five Grammy© awards, including Best Album, Best Song ("Sailing"), and Best New Artist.

Emerging, to the pleasant surprise of the music-loving world, on the heels of the disco and punk eras, this collection of perfectly-crafted and impeccably-performed songs redefined the concept of melodic pop.

Featuring the production and keyboards of Michael Omartian, as well as Christopher's original Texas band of Rob Meurer (keyboards), Andy Salmon (bass), and Tommy Taylor (drums), and a stellar host of guests, including Michael McDonald, Don Henley, J.D. Souther, Larry Carlton, Nicolette Larson, and guitar wizard Eric Johnson in his first national recording appearance.

Besides the Number One "Sailing," this album contains the hits "Ride Like the Wind," "Never Be the Same," and "Say You'll Be Mine."

Christopher Cross is the self-titled debut album by Christopher Cross, released in December 1979. Recorded in mid-1979, the album was one of the early digitally recorded albums, utilizing the 3M Digital Recording System.
