Chuck Jackson (born July 22, 1937) is a soul/r&b singer who started his career in the early 60's and has performed ever since.

His first hit was "I Don't Wanna Cry" in 1961. Some other hits of his include "Any Day Now," "I Keep Forgettin'" and "All Over The World". In 1967 he moved from Scepter to Motown to record a few singles there. During the 70's, Jackson recorded a few albums and singles on various labels including ABC and All-Platinum, but he never gained as much success as in the 60's.

In 80's he went to EMI America and sung vocals on two Gary U.S. Bond's hit albums and later recorded 2 singles for the Motor City label.

General standards For Record Grading

Mint (M) - Still shrink wrapped, unplayed, new copy of a record.
no visual defects!

Near Mint (NM) - a nearly perfect record that has usually only
been played 1-3 times, in "like new" condition.

Very Good + / Excellent (VG+) -

A VG+ / Excellent record will show minor signs that it was played but
otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it.
Record surface may show light scuffs or very light scratches that
don't affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not
affect the sound are "OK".

The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should
be barely noticeable. The center hole will not have been misshapen
 by repeated play. Picture sleeves will have some slight wear,
lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split.

An LP cover may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a
cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print
and sold at a discount. In general, if not for a couple things wrong with
it, this would be Near Mint.

All but the most mint-crazy collectors
will find a Very Good Plus record highly acceptable.

Very Good (VG) - record has more wear than VG+ with some
more surface noise, light pops, scuffs or light scratches. Generally
still a great playing copy, no skips. Jacket may have more shelf wear,
a little writing, sticker residue, punch out/cut out holes or corners.

Very Good - (VG-) - record has noticeable groove wear, minor discoloration,
surface noise, louder pops, marks & scratches and/or scuffs but still a decent playing copy,
no skips. Cover may have heavier shelf wear, more discoloration and split seams.

Good + and Good (G+ and G) - record still plays without skipping
but has considerable amounts of groove wear, discoloration, surface noise, scuffs,
and/or scratches.  Sleeve has alot of wear and some defects such
as split seams, heavy creasing, writing, marks, sticker residue, etc...

Poor (P), Fair (F)

The record is cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without
skipping or repeating. The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on
all three seams and heavily marred by wear and writing. The LP cover
barely keeps the LP inside it. Inner sleeves are fully seam split,
crinkled, and written upon.
