This album is a member of the famous TAS list.

"Miles Davis presents here frameworks which are exquisite in their simplicity and yet contain all that is necessary to stimulate performance with a sure reference to the primary conception." Amen. During the past 40 years, the performances Davis' stimulated from Evans, John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Paul Chambers, Jimmy Cobb, and Wynton Kelly have become some of the most storied in jazz, and all of them - classics such as "Freddie the Freeloader," "All Blues," "Blue in Green," and, of course, "So What" (featured) - are featured on the Columbia/Legacy reissue.

One of the best Columbia titles!
This is a two sided disc, one side of which is at 33 RPM. I believe it has the corrected speed side, and I'm not actually sure whether it's side one or two that was originally recorded off speed. Perhaps someone out there knows?
Side two has an unreleased take of Flamenco Sketches at 45 RPM
if I am not mistaken (about the song, not the speed).
This is the same LP as the second disc that came in the original Classic 2 LP version of Kind of Blue.
Early 180 gram pressings such as these tend to be quieter and flatter than the current 200 gram pressings. As these rare test pressings are sealed there is no way to guarantee that they are perfectly flat or perfectly quiet. They are offered "as is'.
Inside the jacket you will find a 180 gram test pressing from RTI with a label very much like the one below.
This record came from a collection of test pressings previously owned by a well known tonearm maker. There are close to five hundred STILL SEALED LPs in the collection, some at 33 RPM, some at 45 RPM, some single sided, some double sided. Practically every title Classic Records had released up until about 1997 is in this collection, including recordings from RCA, Mercury, Epic, Rock The House, Verve, Colgems and many more.
