Description
Colosseum's first album from 1969, UK release on Fontana label. I'm not a dealer but would describe the record and sleeve as in very good condition. The gatefold cover has a little wear at the bottom LH corner, and the front RH edge has Sellotape down it (see pictures). The disc has light surface scuffs visible if held at an angle to the light, but no obvious scratch marks. Both labels have light spindle marks which are not visible in the pictures. Neither the sleeve or the record labels have any writing or sticky labels on them.
I have played this album all the way through using a Trio KD1033 turntable fitted with a Shure M44 cartridge, and the sound quality is superb for a 45 year old record. Being fussy, I picked out three light clicks at the end of Track 2 Side 1, and a few faint clicks half way through Track 1 Side 2. These could well disappear if the record was properly cleaned. There is no crackling between tracks or in any of the quiet passages of music. Although not in "mint" condition, this is still a nice record that doesn't sound like it has been played very much, and that you can listen to and enjoy.
