IT's ROYAL BLUE (Blue Shellac!) Columbia week!..There fabulous looking discs were produced by the BANKRUPT Depression era Columbia Records Company between late 1932 and 1935...a time when the strangled record labels were trying all kinds of gimics to get Bread Line era America to buy records!..These releases, while looking GREAT were suseptible to light lamanation cracks and creases and many listed here will have that maladity..but, I WILL INDICATE IF THE LAMINATION MARKS AFFECT THE PLAY AS THEY USUALLY DO NOT!.....Columbia 2920D is a nice E++ with a tiny horizontal one groove scratch which passes instantly on side A..The mighty CHICK WEBB AND HIS SAVOY ORCHESTRA (Savoy Ballroom!) rip up IMAGINATION/I CAN'T DANCE I'VE GOT ANTS IN MY PANTE with a great vocal by trumpet man TAFT JORDAN! ..recorded in MAY of 1934 ............
