Description

 "The Complete Blue note 1964-66 Jackie McLean Sessions", a 6-LP Mosaic box set in immaculate condition, and one of my most valuable and treasured records - but it's time that it went, along with all the others, to create some space! This one is numbered 2897 out of the 5000 that were released in 1993, and which have long been out of print. McLean had a unique sound, which is instantly recognizable. His playing was somewhere beyond the hard-bop that he grew up with, but to me, it always reminds me of the blues. This set received a 5* review from Allmusic.com.

The records were carefully cleaned a few years ago, and remain virtually unplayed. Both box and booklet are also in near mint condition - just a little wear is visible on the first photograph. I've only posted a couple of photos, but would be happy to do more if it will help - just ask. 

The set weighs 1.6 kg without packaging. For UK buyers, I am forced by eBay to offer you a delivery option at £4.50. If a UK bidder opts for this, PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK, and THE PACKAGE WILL BE UNINSURED. To obtain up to £500 of cover, please choose the second postage option, Royal Mail Special Delivery.  For international buyers, I intend to use a courier with insurance;  indicative prices for European countries would be £16+insurance for Germany, and  £29.40 to the USA. Should the auction be won by an international buyer, please contact me before paying to agree the final price, because I would not wish to send a valuable (and rare) item such as this without insurance cover.
