"The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown" LP   (Stereo)   Track SD 8198

First US pressing from 1968 on Track, with black and silver colored labels.

The wax here is stunning !!!  Looks and plays "like new".

This is the iconic debut album by the theatrical British artist Arthur Brown.  Brown was famous for his electrifying performances, donned in wild outlandish costumes, sometimes capped by a helmet of fire, literally.  Features his classic hit song "Fire".

Matrix numbers in the dead wax area read:

Side One:  ST-A-681351-BB  AT (triangle symbol) 12318

Side Two:  ST-A-681352-AA AT (triangle symbol) 12318-X

Stunning wax !!!  The wax looks and plays "like new", with only the slightest traces of surface noise (background "crackle") audible between tracks, characteristic of wax of the era.  The sound quality here is wonderful.  Exceptional high gloss on this record, now nearly 50 years old.

Jacket:  VG+ 

The jacket is a "cut out":  a clean, narrow 1 inch slit is present in the top right corner.  Four tiny staple holes are present in the top left corner.

Front jacket photo is rich and colorful.

Back jacket B&W photo and text are very clear.

Top & bottom seams and spine are all in excellent condition.  A few pale yellow dots of stain (from shelf storage) are present at the top of the spine.  Spine print is crystal clear.  No splits.

Shallow creases are present in the lower right hand corner in an area approx. 1/2 inch square.

This is a superb copy of this iconic psych rock release.  The wax is in stunning condition, like new.  You will be very "hard pressed" to find a copy of this pressing (unsealed) whose wax is in better condition.

A wonderful piece of rock history and a great listen, now nearly 50 years old !!!  Hoping this one goes to a good home.
